When the Tauranga City Council began planning their new Library and Community Hub, sustainability was at the forefront of their vision. With the ambitious goal of achieving a six Green Star rating, the project team sought the most eco-friendly and carbon-efficient materials available.
This is just one of the many reasons why the building will feature Rollforming Services’ (RFS) Telescopic Panels for its internal framing.

Library and community hub building, featuring three stories, a café, flexible community spaces, technology innovation areas and meeting rooms and views across the Tauranga Harbour.

Internal framing to be completed using 12,800m of RFS Telescopic Panels that are adjustable vertically and horizontally.

RFS products used: 152mm, 92mm and 63.5mm telescopic frames.
Unlike conventional framing, RFS Telescopic Panels can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally, making them exceptionally versatile for a range of built environments. They arrive flat-packed, significantly reducing transport emissions and making onsite handling far easier.
Each drawing set comes with a unique QR code that links directly to a web-based 3D model viewer. This means that anyone onsite can instantly access accurate digital plans, ensuring correct placement and alignment with ease.

The Telescopic Panels contribute significantly to the project’s six Green Star rating goals by:
